Call for Papers for PHD Students
Student Association for International Relations Globallis, in partnership with the Chair and Centre for International Relations (IR) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (FSS UL), is organizing its 3rd Student Conference on International Relations. The international conference will be held during Europe Week, on the 4th and 5th May 2023 at FSS in Ljubljana and the organizers cordially invite Doctoral students from the wider IR field to participate in the PhD activities, which will be co-organized with the help of CEEISA Doctoral Network.
With the organization of this section, we want to allow doctoral students to present their scientific research to experts and colleagues working in the field of IR, get a closer look at the publishing industry and obtain constructive comments and recommendations on their research. Next to participating in the student conference (general information on SCIR can be found here & the main call can be found here), where doctoral students will be able to present their work in conference panels, the PhD section of the conference will also include a workshop on academic publishing and a doctoral networking event. In this way, the student conference hopes to allow doctoral students to present their research work in the wider field of IR, improve their review skills, and meet other doctoral students working in the region working on related cases and research topics. If interested, doctoral students can also serve as discussants on main conference panels.

Podelitev priznanja Fakultete za družbene vede Univerze v Ljubljani za posebne dosežke in udejstvovanje na področju obštudijske dejavnosti
V ponedeljek, 28. 11. 2022, je bila skupina Študentske konference o mednarodnih odnosih v okviru študentskega društva Globallis in zasnovitelja Študentske konference povabljena na 23. Častni shod Fakultete za družbene vede zaradi svojega sodelovanja in doprinosa k izvedbi konference. Ta se je odvijala 4. maja 2022 v okviru tedna Evrope, kjer so študentje različnih fakultet predstavljali svoja znanstveno-raziskovalna dela strokovnjakom na področju mednarodnih odnosov in prejeli njihove komentarje ter povratne informacije.
Podeljena so bila fakultetna priznanja, ki se smatrajo za najvišji dosežek Fakultete za družbene Univerze v Ljubljani. Časti shod se kategorizira kot najpomembnejši akademski dogodek naše fakultete. Tovrstna priznanja se podeljujejo z namenom javnega priznanja in zahvale za izjemne dosežke na področju delovanja fakultete, zato smo še toliko bolj veseli potrditve, da je bilo naše delo konstruktivno in naš vložen trud opažen.
Dogajanje pa je pospremil govor slavnostnega govorca prof. dr. Mitje Velikonje.
Call For Papers for the 3rd Student Conference on International Relations
Študentsko društvo za mednarodne odnose Globallis v sodelovanju s Katedro in Centrom za mednarodne odnose Fakultete za družbene vede organizira že tretjo Študentsko konferenco o mednarodnih odnosih. Konferenca bo potekala med 4. in 5. majem 2023 v sklopu tedna Evrope.
Za potrebe tretje zaporedne študentske konference je razpisanih 11 tematskih sklopov, in sicer: i) vloga in pomen teorij mednarodnih odnosov; ii) mednarodno trgovanje in razvoj v kontekstu svetovnih kriz; iii) moč mednarodnega prava; iv) grožnje mednarodnemu miru in varnosti; v) aktualni izzivi diplomacije in oblikovanja zunanje politike; vi) pokonfliktna obnova in sprava; vii) izzivi podnebnih sprememb; viii) širitvena politika Evropske unije do Zahodnega Balkana; ix) izzivi evropske integracije; x) ruska agresija nad Ukrajino; xi)Trajnost in trajnostni razvoj.
Vodje študentske konference so Patrik Marčetič, Izak Miklavčič in Eva Omahen.
Znanstveni odbor sestavljajo: prof. dr. Zlatko Šabič, prof. dr. Ana Bojinović Fenko, izr. prof. dr. Julija Brzakoska Bazerkoska, izr. prof. dr. Rok Zupančič, doc. dr. Danijel Crnčec, doc. dr. Boris Lučev, doc. dr. Faris Kočan in asist. dr. Marko Kovačević.

The Student Association for International Relations Globallis, in cooperation with the Chair and Center for International Relations of the Faculty of Social Sciences, is organizing the third Student Conference on International Relations. The conference will take place between 4 and 5 May 2023 as part of the European week.
For the needs of the third consecutive student conference, 11 thematic clusters are identified. Those are: i) Explanatory power of IR theory; ii) International trade and development models considering global crises; iii) Strength of international law; iv) Multi-verse threats to international peace and security; v) Current challenges of diplomacy and of foreign policy-making; vi) Post-conflict reconstruction and reconciliation; vii) Climate change challenges; viii) Western Balkans states’ European Union accession process; ix) European integration – state of the art?; x) Russian aggression on Ukraine; xi) Sustainability and sustainable development.
The leaders of the student conference are Patrik Marčetič, Izak Mikvalčič and Eva Omahen.
